Smile More

How do you maintain a dream?

‘Smile More, Worry Less and Live your Passion’

Plastered in bold text across my whiteboard, the above quote is the first thing and last thing I see each day. It is a quote I stumbled across a little over 12 months ago and has served as a consistent reminder to be grateful for what I already have in life, but to also let nothing stop me from achieving my dreams. After all, who are they to tell us we can’t dream?

For me, daring to dream is the way I move forward and really test my capacity as a human being. There are no barriers for dreaming and the term ‘I cannot’ is simply a foreign term that I refuse to recognise or accept.

Being a creative individual, there is definitely an urge to continuously ‘create’ and the feeling of creating something new or achieving greatness is essentially what gets my arse out of bed when I want to click ‘snooze’ on my IPhone some days.

4 things I do daily to maintain my goals and dreams:

  • Write 1 daily goal down on my office whiteboard
  • Take 10 minutes to reflect on the day (Important)
  • Listen to music before sleeping and write down any thoughts that come to mind (Anything!!! – This helps to clear the mind ready for a big tomorrow)

The most important and key ingredient for me personally, is the people I have around me. I am very lucky to be surrounded by amazing creative, supportive and loving individuals that provide me with the ability to dream out loud but to also push me to be better. The term ‘if you’re the smartest person in the room, you’re in the wrong room’ really resonates here.

Dream BIG, dream out loud, write that shit down, don’t take NO as an answer, love what you do, avoid comfort zones and CRUSH IT!!
